Contemporary Garden

The brief was to create a simple garden that would compliment a newly built, contemporary home.

The chosen materials had to respect and not distract from the simplicity of the architecture.

The poured concrete paths create a journey through the garden, linking the house to a garden office creating an understated industrial feel. The visual impact of these paths are softened with simple planting of Taxus baccata balls sitting amongst drifts of Hakonechloa grass and selected perennials with an old existing Magnolia being the centre feature.
