Coastal Garden
The relationship between house, garden and coastline was very evident when we first visited this garden.
Enhancing this relationship through the use of appropriate materials, textures, colours and plants was the brief for the gardens.
Blurring the boundaries between the private garden space and coastal outlook was also an important consideration. Allowing the garden to borrow from the wider landscape and every changing sea views.
To the front of the property existed a very large paved/block paved “car park”.
Creating a front garden and attractive approach to the threshold of the property was vital. Planting softened the front of property, combined with sympathetic use of materials welcomed both owners and visitors to this coastal residence.
