Large Private Residence

This country residence was undergoing extensive refurbishment and the gardens/driveway were an important part of this process

The design brief was fairly open. With references to the existing architecture of the property but with a more modern feel.

The rear garden had a clear level difference from the back of the house towards the main lawn.

Consequently retaining walls using Corten Steel were chosen to define the new levels along with brick detailing, edging pathways and providing stepped access between the various areas of the garden.

Other important features were a re-circulating water feature, main entertaining terrace, screening and vegetable garden.
